Zorya is a 3D adventure co-op puzzle platformer that’s being developed by Madlife Divertissement using the Unreal Engine 4 (UE4), and is currently in Alpha. The demo can be downloaded on its Steam page.
In this game, you play as either Aysu, goddess of the night, or Solveig, goddess of the sun, as you try to retrieve Asyu’s powers, now scattered across the land of Vyraj. There is a slight problem as you cannot walk in sunlight or fear getting obliterated and must traverse the shadows to get across.
The mechanics of this game are very creative as you must use Solveig’s powers to control where the sun is, and therefore which shadows will be created. This gives Aysu several options and assists in creating a path in the shadows.
In addition, Solveig can activate mechanisms in the game using her solar energy but only if they are already in the sun! Asyu must figure out how to move them as well as use her wind powers to push enemies into the sunlight for Solveig to deal with them.
This game can only be played with two people as teamwork is very essential to advancing in the game. It is set to be released in Feb 2021 and if you would like to stay up to date, you can join the game’s discord server or follow them on Twitter.
