One of the best things about following a game early in its development is seeing all the changes and advances made by the developer as the game is being made. Some of them start a blog of some kind detailing the recent changes, what they plan to work on for the future, and what their thoughts are facing the challenges that comes with video game development. Then, as you play the game, you can really feel the changes and get to experience the evolution of the game.
That brings us to WiseGuys, a first-person shooter multiplayer sandbox game being developed by FacePunch Studios. In this game, you are a criminal and what you do from there is up to you. You can either purchase properties and begin production on drugs to sell so you can make a profit. You can go crazy in the streets, gunning down any who are unlucky enough to run into your line of sight. You can do either of these poorly and end up being locked up in jail. The choice is up to you and how well you are able to hide your crimes. Gaining money helps you purchase equipment and building to further expand your territory. You can also buy safes and other storage devices to keep your investments safe from intruders. Vehicles are available to help move you from one side of the city to the other and if you happen to see someone you don’t like walking around in the opening, might as well take a few shots at them to let them know who is boss.
There isn’t a lot of information on the game currently. We do know that it is still in development, it is a lot of fun to play and enjoyable for a lazy weekend, and that the creators are hell-bent on passing Holmzy’s number of followers on Twitter.
