HYPERNOVA: Escape from Hadea is a 3D real-time strategy game made by Actalogic Studios. You control a race of aliens called the Scynthians who, in an effort to escape a dying star, send a team of experts to their moon of Haya to try to gather the necessary resources needed to power their interstellar teleportation device.
The game uses a mix of resource gathering with civilization building and a sprinkle of tower defense. The moon that you have landed on is filled to the brim with danger. Poisonous gas, endless amounts of monsters, and natural disasters are all hurdles that you will need to clear to be able to get to your goal.
To clear the gas, you will need to create air purifiers. These will help reveal more of the map and allow you to build further structures. For the monsters, you will need to construct various towers to keep your base safe. Machine gun towers, motor towers, ice ray towers, and even more. They all have their own specific use to keep you safe from the seemingly limitless amount of enemies. For natural disasters, the only thing you can do is make sure that the damage caused by such events is kept to a minimum.
Hypernova has fun characters, a beautiful planetary design, with plenty of humor sprinkled here and there. It is a fun experience that anyone would enjoy. Just remember that an entire species life and culture are in your hands.
