Friday Night Funkin’, a rhythm-based game developed within 72 hrs for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam, has a prototype ready to download on its Itch page.
In this game, you play as a boy who is in trouble with his girlfriend’s evil father. You tried to kiss her and now he wants to kill you! Luckily, he used to be a famous rockstar and you can win his heart with music.
This game’s mechanics are like Dance Dance Revolution. Depending on how well you’re doing, there is a bar at the bottom of the screen with the father’s head and your head on it. If your head gets pushed off the bar, then you lose. If you manage to remain on the bar till the song finishes, you go into a much harder beatboxing challenge!
Will you lose at the hands your girlfriend’s father and die or will you win the singing battle and walk away with your girl, and your life?
