Chains of Fury is a single player fast-paced Metroidvania Boomer Shooter game, which you can download over at its Steam page. It’s being developed by Cobble Games.
Chains of Fury is a Metroidvania Boomer Shooter influenced by various ancient FPS games and inspired by Hellboy & Lobo books and XIII, Void Bastards games. The main goal is for you to repeatedly investigate the Metroidvania-style system in order to become powerful enough just to defeat the level guardian (Boss).
No world-saving, no zero to hero bullshit, no mercy. It’s nothing personal – it’s just business.
In Chains of Fury, you’re a hired assassin, in stead of paying you, your former clients imprisoned you, so you’ll track them down and get your money back. The game features ‘destructible walls’, there’s no need for credentials because practically everything is fully explorable, ‘hidden secrets’ with a plethora of easter eggs and secrets waiting to be discovered, and ‘retro-inspired’ Duke, Quake, UT, and Doom. Also, ‘dark humor’, where you’ll remember moments when classic FPS games were developed, ‘split-screen multiplayer’, where you play with your opponents. And be ready for bloody gratuitous violence.
